Business Development Representative – CanonicalYou will collaborate with regional sales and marketing teams to identify, nurture and close customer projects that match Canonical’s open‑source product lines. You will be a key driver of pipeline growth and brand awareness across diverse industries and geographies.
Responsibilities- Execute outbound sales & marketing campaigns.
- Research prospective customers and market trends to generate high‑quality leads.
- Generate a senior‑seller‑ready pipeline that fuels a multi‑million dollar revenue target.
- Own and close SMB opportunities within your designated territory.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with senior stakeholders to drive results.
- Help define the team’s processes and policies.
- Attend, present at, and drive face‑to‑face marketing and sales opportunities at events and conferences worldwide.
- Track record of exceeding annual SDR or outbound sales quotas and driving qualified pipeline growth.
- Experience prospecting at the senior executive level and identifying new customer opportunities.
- Background in enterprise software or technology sales.
- Strong academic record from high school through university.
- Passion for business and technology, with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Creative problem solving, cross‑team collaboration and result‑driven mindset.
- Excellent written and spoken English with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Persistence, perseverance and an over‑achiever spirit.
- Ability to travel internationally up to twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
- Comfort with remote work and independent execution of sales activities.
- Fully remote work environment with occasional in‑person team sprints.
