Position: CAS District Manager, (Mountain West)

A Day in the Life

We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. This remote position requires the hired candidate to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential.

Provides strategic and tactical direction to the CA Solutions sales team to achieve market growth, market penetration, and market development objectives. Ensures alignment and partnership with CRHF and CVG sales teams and executes plans to fully leverage the CA Solutions business. Accountable for revenue and implant goals for products and services in an assigned region, and for driving new product launches.

This position requires approximately 60% travel. The region includes Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement the CA Solutions sales strategy, providing strategic leadership for the sales force and aligning with Cardiology sales management.
  • Lead the team to achieve market development and penetration in key patient populations.
  • Train, coach, and develop employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive knowledge, and career goals.
  • Communicate corporate and regional mission, goals, and activities.
  • Direct and motivate personnel to achieve unit, revenue, and implant goals; provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Assist employees with Individual Development Plans.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Manage sales area assets: implement and adopt , manage budgets and forecasts, ensure efficient use of inventory, and negotiate contract issues.
  • Build ethical, long-term customer relationships and represent Medtronic management to customers.
  • Recruit and interview candidates to maintain a strong personnel bench, hire top candidates, and meet workplace diversity goals.
  • Coordinate efforts with sales reps and managers of other product lines to diversify and maximize overall teamwork results; provide marketing intelligence feedback to sales and marketing management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in medical sales/marketing
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (optional)
  • BA/BS in life sciences, business, technical discipline or related area.
  • Previous sales management experience or experience with market development businesses.
  • Experience with pacing products and knowledge of pacing customer base.
  • Experience with clinical diagnostic and monitoring devices.
  • Experience with sales and personal management functions.
  • Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services or related areas.
  • Experience in the cardiac catheter ablation field, EP lab, in a hospital/clinic or EP medical sales providing technical / clinical support.
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time.
