** Job Summary
** The role involves selling the company’s products to new clients and assigning accounts to achieve profitable growth. This includes visiting clients to assess their needs, enhancing brand awareness, and recommending appropriate products. The incumbent ensures the effective implementation of marketing and sales plans, responds to enquiries, negotiates sales, and finalizes sales orders. Additionally, the position requires managing and developing business within current and potential chain accounts to maximize revenue growth and profitability.
Success in this role depends on building long-term relationships by engaging with various departments beyond purchasing—such as marketing, QA, R&D, and senior management—to optimize product and company exposure. Internally, the role collaborates closely with management, supply chain, and multiple support functions, including pricing, deductions, marketing, accounts receivable, credit, graphics, quality control, and manufacturing to secure the necessary support for profitable business growth and customer service.
Driving productivity through efficient sales processes and expanding sales via existing account management and incremental product placements at both current and new accounts is essential.
** Essential Functions
**** Business Development and Customer Engagement
*** Expand business within existing and new customers through capabilities presentations, personal visits, new product/concept presentations, trade conferences, phone/video calls, and other interfacing opportunities.
* Develop and implement a territory management plan to meet sales and profitability targets against targeted accounts while holding internal stakeholders accountable.
** Profitability and Margin Improvement
*** Improve margins at existing accounts through design changes, product mix improvements, pricing actions, cost reduction projects, packaging changes/enhancements, and alignment with the division’s asset base and other profit improvement initiatives.
** Accounts and Sales Management
*** Use internal systems to manage pricing, new product development, forecasting, and other account management duties.
* Respond to enquiries, negotiate sales, and conclude sales orders (implied within broader sales responsibilities).
** Cross-functional Collaboration and Support
*** Work closely with internal departments and support functions, including customer service, S&OP, pricing, deductions, marketing, accounts receivable, credit, graphics, quality control, and manufacturing to obtain necessary support for profitable business growth and customer service within the territory.

** Job Qualifications
*** Required
* * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including strong verbal and written abilities.
* Must understand current computer technology including Microsoft suite and internal systems (Blacksmith, BPCS, etc).
* Basic business financial management, understanding, and analysis skills required.
* Project management skills are a plus.
* Motivated individual with the ability to achieve sales goals within the assigned timelines.
* Ability to communicate Huhtamaki capabilities/direction in any medium.
** Environment
* ** Work within an office-type setting most of each day with controlled climate conditions.
* Travel requirements 50%.
* Relocatable if appropriate.
