Position SnapshotThe Sales Engineer is responsible for driving new customer acquisitions and expanding existing OEM accounts within target markets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, executing strategic sales plans, and delivering technical presentations. Working closely with the Channel Sales team, the Sales Engineer actively supports distributor performance to ensure alignment within strategic objectives. The Sales Engineer collaborates with internal teams and must acquire a solid understanding of Lenze’s technical solutions and market trends.

A day in the life New Customer AcquisitionProactively pursue new OEM customer opportunities and develop strategic plans to penetrate new accounts and grow market share. Conduct prospecting activities like cold calls and networking and collaborating with local channel managers and distribution networks when appropriate. Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations and work with local application engineering resources to meet customers' technical needs.
Account ExpansionStrengthen relationships with existing customers to uncover new applications and upselling opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions and expand wallet share within current accounts. Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address issues to ensure long-term loyalty.
Sales Strategy & ExecutionMaintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and manage them through the sales cycle. Achieve or exceed annual sales targets. Provide accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence to leadership.
Technical Expertise & SupportCoordinate technical resources for customers, highlighting how the customer will benefit from a Lenze solution. Stay current on product developments, industry trends, and competitor offerings. Support product launches and customer onboarding with hands-on technical guidance.
