The Role

Our client is a leading North American distributor of stainless steel products, serving the food, chemical, steel fabrication, and architectural industries for over 40 years. The company provides value-added services such as plasma cutting, laser cutting, water-jet cutting, stainless steel polishing, shearing, and saw cutting, as well as valve automation, structural and sanitary tubing, and engineered fluid transfer products.

They are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join their team in the Quebec / Beauce region to drive business growth, maintain customer accounts, and provide excellent customer service.

  • Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed monthly sales quotas and margin targets
  • Independently prospect and develop new business opportunities while managing existing accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all client decision-makers
  • Develop a sales and marketing plan for the assigned territory
  • Travel locally and regionally to visit 7–8 clients per day, 4 days per week
  • Attend client events and meetings to foster relationships (., hockey games)
  • Work from home 1 administrative day per week; attend headquarters as required, especially during training and onboarding
  • Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business or marketing preferred, or minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Proven track record of outside sales success
  • Strong consultative selling, customer service, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficient in computer skills and sales management software
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Self-starter, results-driven, professional, and a team player
  • Bilingual:
    French (primary for clients, 90%) and English (for internal communication, 10%)
  • Experience in stainless steel, steel service, or related distribution industries preferred
