The In‑Store Sales team at Door Dash is responsible for growing and scaling the Seven Rooms platform by empowering operators to take control of their guest relationships. We serve as trusted advisors to restaurants and hospitality groups, helping them solve real business challenges through thoughtful, consultative solutions. Our team takes pride in building strong relationships, identifying operational gaps, and recommending technology that helps operators streamline in‑store experiences and deliver exceptional hospitality.
As part of Door Dash’s broader sales organization, we play a critical role in driving new business growth while supporting long‑term success for our partners.
The Role
As an Account Development Executive (ADE), you will own growth and retention across a portfolio of existing restaurant and hospitality customers. You’ll focus on renewals, upsells, and expansion opportunities, helping clients maximize the value they receive from the Seven Rooms platform while contributing directly to revenue growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long‑term relationships, identifying strategic opportunities within accounts, and partnering cross‑functionally to deliver strong customer outcomes.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to your customers, balancing commercial goals with a customer‑first approach. You’ll report to a Sales Leader and work closely with Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and other teams across Door Dash to ensure clients are set up for long‑term success.
- Drive account growth:
Own renewals, upsells, cross‑sells, and expansion opportunities across your book of business to meet or exceed revenue targets - Manage renewals proactively:
Engage customers ahead of contract expiration to review goals, performance, and continued value from the platform - Identify expansion opportunities:
Recommend additional Seven Rooms features, integrations, and services that support customer growth - Pitch and close upsells:
Present and sell solutions such as advanced reporting, marketing tools, and platform enhancements that increase adoption - Build trusted relationships:
Serve as a strategic advisor to key decision‑makers, aligning Seven Rooms solutions to customer goals - Lead customer presentations:
Deliver compelling presentations and product demos that highlight platform value and new capabilities - Collaborate cross‑functionally:
Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to advocate for customers and drive successful outcomes - Track and forecast performance:
Maintain accurate reporting on account activity, pipeline, and forecast data
- 3+ years of experience in account management, sales, customer success, or a related role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals
- Demonstrated success identifying and closing upsell and cross‑sell opportunities that create meaningful customer value
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Comfort working with data and using insights to inform sales and account strategies
- A customer‑first mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
