The primary responsibility of the company sales/ marketing manager is to increase sales and brand awareness by developing and expanding new and existing business, while working closely with the independent agency network. Acting as the "link" with agents, this position will determine best solutions for their agents assisting in resolution of any concerns from the agents. This company writes a variety of commercial package (small to middle market) and personal lines business.
Responsibilities- Increase sales through the independent agent channel to increase market penetration and brand awareness.
- Establish and maintain a strong presence within the Richmond,Virginia region.
- Deliver presentations and seminars on company programs to agents via face to face, webinars, PowerPoint, or over the phone.
- Create and manage pipeline and territory coverage plan.
- Work collaboratively with the company team to help develop a comprehensive sales strategy for all products and programs that assures optimal customer satisfaction.
- Utilize all company allocated resources to effectively drive and meet/exceed sales goals
- Always represent the company brand in a professional manner on the phone, in writing and in-person.
- BS, BA Degree Strongly Preferred
- Prefer three years of proven outside sales/marketing experience in insurance marketing/sales. Two or more years of commercial underwriting background will also be considered in place of direct marketing experience.
- Variable travel within territory. 25% travel
- Excellent presentation skills
- Results-oriented, with outstanding organizational and planning skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with leadership abilities
- Proficient user of MS Office Products:
Word, Excel and Power Point - Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
