Home based with national travel
£40,000 - £45,000 basic (potentially negotiable for right candidates) plus bonus + company car or car allowance
We are recruiting for an interesting new position of National Engagement Lead for Commercial Training. This is a key field-based role focused on developing strong employer relationships, driving new business, and ensuring every client experiences a high-quality, professional service.
As National Engagement Lead for Commercial Training, you’ll be the face of the organisation, engaging with employers, identifying new opportunities, and turning warm leads into lasting partnerships. You’ll be confident building rapport both face-to-face and over the phone, with the ability to understand business needs and match them to a full suite of commercial training and consultancy services.
This is a home based position but you’ll still work closely with our internal Customer Engagement team and delivery teams to ensure every client journey is smooth, professional, and results-driven.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and develop new business opportunities through on-site visits, networking activities, and proactive outreach
* Take ownership of warm enquiries from the internal team and convert them into successful partnerships
* Establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with employers nationwide
* Present and promote the organisation’s comprehensive training and consultancy offering
* Represent the organisation at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to increase brand presence
* Achieve and surpass agreed monthly sales and engagement objectives
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality end-to-end customer journey
* Accurately update CRM systems and provide regular performance and activity reports
What we're looking for
* Professional, confident, and personable in all communications
* Proven in a business development or sales role, preferably within training, construction, or a related industry
* Highly motivated, well organised, and capable of managing a defined territory independently
* Naturally skilled at building relationships and generating new opportunities through engagement
* Well informed about employer engagement and workforce development
* Hold a drivers license and willing to travel nationally and act as a positive ambassador at client sites and industry events
