In this role, you will respond to calls coming into our call center by positively promoting Farmers Personal Lines insurance products to prospective customers, consulting with customers to understand their needs, and selling those products which best fit the customer’s needs. You will earn a competitive base salary in addition to monthly incentive earnings based upon your performance.

We provide 9+ weeks of paid training, combining virtual classroom and hands‑on learning with mentoring to ensure that you have the skills you need to succeed oing coaching and training will remain a focus throughout your career to help you grow in your role and advance to new opportunities.

Here’s what you will accomplish as a member of our team:

  • Sell insurance products to inbound callers by gathering data from customers to generate quotes and ultimately bind the business; in some instances, make outbound calls
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships, while educating customers regarding coverages and cost so that the customer can select the most appropriate option
  • Qualify customers as buyers of other products/services to create cross‑sell and upselling opportunities
  • Navigate multiple computer systems while seamlessly interacting with the customer

Experience Requirements

  • P&C or Personal Lines License is preferred, but not required upon hire. If unlicensed, Farmers will provide paid pre‑licensing preparation during training, as you must obtain Personal Lines license to sell within your state of residency.
  • Education – High School diploma or equivalent;
    College degree preferred
  • The ability to obtain resident/non‑resident property and casualty license in all states
  • Experience in P&C insurance sales is preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of Customer Service experience required (including retail, hospitality, and restaurant experience);
    Call Center experience is a plus
  • Direct sales skills, and the aptitude to influence customers and close the sale
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to adapt communication style to each phone call, and explain complex policy and coverage information in understandable terms
  • Strong PC and software skills required

Work Schedule

Our priority is to our customers and we work non‑traditional hours to match their needs. You must be available to work shifts as assigned within the hours below; shifts will include evenings, Saturdays and Holidays.

  • Monday‑Friday 8am‑8:30pm MST (8am‑9:30pm CST, 8am‑10:30pm EST)
  • Saturday 7am‑3:30pm MST (8am‑4:30pm CST, 9am‑5:30pm EST)

Full‑time—40 hours/week; five 8‑hour shifts per week.
