Virtual Sales Engineer (VTS) - West (Remote)
Overview: Join Leybold as a Virtual Sales Engineer! You will be the single point of contact for customers in open territories, re‑engaging lapsed accounts and driving sales through the pre‑ and post‑sale process.
Your Responsibilities- Act as the principal liaison for customers engaged in pre‑ and post‑sale activities.
- Own your designated territory, including re‑engaging lapsed service customers to drive revenue and enhance satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, guiding them through the sales process and ensuring timely, accurate information.
- Collaborate with outside sales personnel for comprehensive support across all service lines.
- Follow up on leads generated through marketing efforts and provide requested quotes for the Service Business Line.
- Deliver a general overview of all Service Products and demonstrate product benefits.
- Manage open territory proactively and revitalize relationships with lapsed customers.
- Collaborate with applications and tech support teams to propose tailored product alternatives.
- Identify opportunities for cross‑selling additional Leybold products, including field services and service contract options.
- Enhance overall satisfaction by improving performance and operational efficiency.
- Promote sustainable practices by reducing commuting and lowering environmental footprint.
- Maintain meticulous customer databases and document all interactions using our CRM system.
- Build professional networks through lab and factory visits.
- Uphold the company culture that nurtures early‑career professionals.
- Leverage in‑office support for quicker learning and adaptation.
- Complete additional duties as directed by management.
- 1–3 years of technical sales, business development, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another technical field, with business or marketing knowledge.
- Experience with vacuum equipment or technical product sales is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM applications.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Strong customer‑centric approach and teamwork.
- Critical thinking and attention to detail.
- Adaptability and teamwork in changing situations.
- Self‑starter with strong work ethic, eager to learn and grow.
- Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Starting salary depends on primary work location. NV/CA: $70,000 – $84,000.
Location & Work ArrangementRemote role with initial on‑site training in Export, PA; subsequently fully remote.
