Role Description

This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Sales Manager based in Anaheim, CA. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and achieving revenue targets. Daily activities include developing sales strategies, managing customer accounts, leading negotiations, and collaborating with internal teams on project planning and execution to ensure client satisfaction.

Additionally, the Sales Manager will be expected to monitor market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge within the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business while maintaining and growing existing client accounts.
  • Own all sales activity from initial outreach through contract execution and post‑event follow‑up.
  • Accurately document all sales activity in Net Suite or other CRM tools.
  • Lead all client‑facing sales communication including proposals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Prepare and manage initial master budgets.
  • Draft, negotiate, and execute sales contracts.
  • Maintain consistent client touchpoints via phone, email, video calls, and in‑person meetings.
  • Serve as liaison between clients and internal departments.
  • Participate in internal sales meetings and lead client meetings.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing and follow up on deposits and balances.
  • Maintain knowledge of EXPO’s products and services and upsell when appropriate.
  • Build relationships with venues and industry partners.
  • Attend networking events and client entertainment activities.
Requirements & Skills
  • Proficiency in sales strategies, account management, and business development.
  • Strong skills in client relationship management, effective communication, and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of event management, exhibit design, and marketing processes.
  • Familiarity with tradeshow industry trends and the ability to identify market opportunities.
  • Proven leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and other sales‑related technology.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior experience in the tradeshow or event planning industry is a plus.
  • 2+ years of sales experience; event industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Special Conditions
  • Occasional evenings, weekends, and travel required.
  • Limited remote work is permitted.
