This position reports to the Northeast Sales Supervisor and is part of the North American Key Account Commercial Team and will be working remotely to cover North Boston/Northern Massachusetts and New England.
The Key Account Manager is responsible for:
- Performing technical demonstrations, training, installations, customer support on equipment & software as well as attending and participating in Regional and Local Product Shows
- Generate accurate monthly forecasting for the assigned territory. Results focused – consistently monitor territory metrics and take ownership of changes needed to succeed
- Perform lead generation activities including but not limited to, seminars, work-days with Channel partners, prospecting within assigned territory.

The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- A minimum of 5 years of field laboratory diagnostics sales experience or selling into the life science or drug discovery industry is preferred. Pharmaceutical or Medical Device sales does not meet this qualification requirement.
- Knowledge of absorbance, fluorescence and luminescence, Western Blot & Imaging technology is highly preferred.
- Experience in PowerPoint, Excel, Word & CRM Database is preferred, with demonstrated data analysis capability
- Outstanding prospecting, territory, lead management, negotiation and closing skills
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- Ability to travel 40-50% within the field in assigned territory
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb, any other physical requirements
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Familiarity with existing academic, big and small biopharma, CRO and government accounts in assign territory.
- Previous laboratory experience
- Key Account Management experience
