Aftersales & Product Support Specialist

This role is not eligible for UK Visa Sponsorship - the successful applicant will need to have a pre‑existing Right to Work in the UK in order to be offered an employment contract.

Location

Home‑office and field‑based. Covering the North West, North East and Scotland. Overnight stays when required.

Salary and Benefits Package

£44,000 – £50,000 basic salary DOE.

Additional Information

This is a permanent, full‑time position.

Due to the nature of the role, you may be required to work away from the home office and may stay overnight a number of nights throughout the year.

Working hours are 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday with a 45 min lunch break.

Additional hours may be required as reasonably necessary.

Job Role Details

Reporting to the Head of Service, you will be responsible for providing technical, sales and after‑sales support within the North West, North East and Scotland.

You will plan, organise and execute specialist company demonstrations and manage UK shows and exhibitions with accompanying advertising, marketing & social media activities.

You will work closely with Territory Managers to promote sales and with the National Afters Manager to deliver after‑care support.

A key element of the role is customer relationship management (CRM) to build relationships with stakeholders across sales and after‑sales.

Support dealers by providing training, support and guidance in product sales and after‑sales processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and increase sales of products in conjunction with Territory Managers.
  • Reach or exceed the targets and goals (KPIs) set for your geographic area.
  • Identify new prospects, products and services through data research, analysis and reporting to increase business opportunities.
  • Organise and attend factory visits and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent after‑sales support and train and develop staff, dealers and end‑users.
  • Plan, organise and attend regional and national agricultural shows and occasional international shows.
  • Set up and conduct demonstrations of equipment, ensuring machines are prepared and checked.
  • Ensure all items on the weekly work plan/job sheet are completed on time.
  • Produce weekly / monthly reports including personal expense claims.
  • Organise and execute training sessions (technical or sales related).
  • Respond to, diagnose and resolve customer technical, parts or sales enquiries via face‑to‑face, phone, text or email.
  • Liaise with Area Sales Manager, Territory Manager or UK sales office when necessary.
  • Manage social media marketing activities: create, curate and publish content (images, video & written) to improve SEO and brand awareness.
  • Assist with marketing activities and dealer open days, evening events, factory visits.
  • Assist with machinery installation and sales/after‑sales administration.
  • Maintain inventory records of stock and consignment machines.
  • Provide retail support during Territory Manager absence or busy periods.
  • Ensure all sales / parts leads are swiftly communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate machinery records and demo bookings.
  • Perform general maintenance, repair and detailing of equipment and machines.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the company's Health & Safety policy.
  • Safely store tools and equipment.
Ideal Person

Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong technical understanding of agricultural and farming machinery.
  • Recent experience in a similar technical support, after‑sales or Agricultural Engineer role.
  • Willingness to travel across the North West, North East and Scotland.
  • Ideally located centrally within the territory (Glasgow / Scottish Borders / Dundee / Ayrshire / Edinburgh / Central Belt of Scotland).
  • Strong organisation and communication skills.
  • NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2 or an equivalent qualification relevant and necessary for the role.
