We are currently recruiting a Business Development Representative to join a well-established and growing organisation within the industrial coatings sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Representative who has a strong professional or sales understanding of industrial coatings and enjoys developing long-term commercial relationships.
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities while managing and growing existing accounts. The successful Business Development Representative will be confident operating in a technical, industrial environment and able to communicate effectively with distributors, contractors, and end users across the industrial coatings market.
This Business Development Representative position is home-based and field-focused, requiring regular travel within your region. You will represent a respected brand within the industrial coatings industry, working closely with internal teams while taking ownership of your sales performance and territory growth.
Main Responsibilities:
Operate as a Business Development Representative within the industrial coatings sector, promoting and selling products to new and existing customers
Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across industrial coatings markets
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, clients, and industry stakeholders
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and technical discussions through to negotiation and deal closure
Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM systems
Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Attend industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events relevant to industrial coatings
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Business Development Representative, or in a similar sales-focused role
Professional or sales experience within the industrial coatings sector is essential
Strong understanding of industrial coatings products, applications, and market requirements
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently in a field-based, home-based role
Strong organisational and time management skills
Competent with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Salary &
Working Hours:
Competitive salary, dependent on experience
Full-time, permanent position
