OverviewI’m currently working with a growing and well-established B2B communications and technology reseller that is looking to appoint a Business Development Manager as part of its continued expansion.
This role would suit someone with at least 2 years’ experience in a sales or business development role, ideally within Unified Communications, IT, Connectivity, AV, or related services
, who is now looking to accelerate their career in a high-growth environment.
This is a new business-focused position where you’ll be responsible for winning net-new clients using a combination of self-generated activity and company-supported prospecting tools.
You’ll be supported by marketing-backed campaigns, semi-automated outreach tools, and experienced leadership, while retaining ownership of any new clients you win for future account development.
The role offers strong mentoring, structured development, and genuine progression opportunities for ambitious sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively selling a range of B2B communications and technology solutions
- Working closely with Sales and Marketing leadership on campaign planning and execution
- Generating new business through:
- Prospecting and outbound activity
- Networking events and exhibitions
- Referral partnerships
- Cold calling and warm outreach
- Developing opportunities within existing client relationships
- Responding promptly to inbound enquiries assigned to you
- Conducting regular face-to-face meetings with prospects and clients
- Maintaining accurate records within the CRM system
- Attending relevant training and development sessions
- Taking ownership of ongoing personal and professional development
This role would suit someone who:

- Full UK driving licence
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C / 4 or above
- Further education qualifications (A-Level, NVQ, Diploma, Degree) preferred but not essential
- Company laptop and mobile phone

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional and courteous manner
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
