Do you have a sales based background? Are you able to manage and grow an established sales territory whilst maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities for new business? If so, we would love to hear from you!

Our client is a leading distributor of Laboratory Equipment across the UK. They are looking to hire a Sales Account Manager to be based at their HQ in York!

This role offers excellent career development opportunities for the right individual and would suit someone who is looking to build on their existing skills while delivering outstanding customer service.

This is a full time permanent position based in York, working 37.5 hours a week across Mon-Fri with the opportunity to work from home 1 day a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop relationships with existing customers across your territory.
  • Handle inbound sales enquiries and follow up on new business opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate quotes and ensure timely responses to client requests.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date records using our CRM system.
  • Complete and submit tenders.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve company sales targets.
  • Manage a high volume of email communication efficiently.
Experience:
  • Proven track record of sales success, with the ability to identify opportunities and apply strong commercial awareness to close sales.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, a background in life sciences or previous scientific sales experience would be an advantage but is not essential. (All sales related experience will be considered).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
  • A customer-focused approach with the ability to provide consultative sales support.
  • A proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for contributing to a growing, team-oriented business.
