Business Development Manager – Sponsorship Sales
Fully Remote | £50,000 – £65,000 + Commission
An international events and conferences company is looking for a Business Development Manager to join its growing commercial team. This role is fully remote, offers strong earning potential, and provides clear career progression within a global organisation that runs regular high-level B2B events.
As Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of new business sponsorship sales across a portfolio of events. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing relationships with senior decision-makers, and closing high-value deals.
Key responsibilities- Generating new business through outreach, cold calling, and prospecting
- Building relationships with corporate directors and senior executives
- Delivering compelling sponsorship pitches and presentations
- Managing the full sales cycle and consistently closing deals
- Using CRM and lead generation tools to manage your pipeline effectively
- Working to and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets
- Minimum 3 years’ sponsorship sales experience within conferences, exhibitions, or events
- Strong track record of consistent sales success and closing deals
- Confident selling to senior stakeholders at director level and above
- Skilled in new business development rather than account management
- Commercially driven, resilient, and motivated by achieving results
- No SaaS/software-only sales, delegate sales, or account management-only backgrounds
- Competitive base salary of £50,000 – £65,000 plus commission
