The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans, prospecting new clients, and maintaining relationships with existing customers. The role requires strong negotiation skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to work independently while contributing to the company’s growth in the global salt market.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly and annual targets
- Identify and prospect new clients across food manufacturing, catering, FMCG, hospitality, chemical, and related industries
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
- Conduct product presentations, negotiations, and close contracts
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine strategies
- Collaborate with marketing and logistics teams for order fulfillment and promotional support
- Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline management updates
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events to generate leads and represent the brand
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sales Representative (salt, food ingredients, or commodity trading preferred)
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Familiarity with CRM systems and reporting tools
- Valid driving licence (if field-based)
- Experience selling to B2B sectors (food processors, distributors, chemical or construction companies)
- Knowledge of different salt grades and applications (industrial salt, table salt, sea salt, Himalayan salt, etc.)
- Established network within wholesale, manufacturing, or export/import industries
