Field Sales Representative (f/m/d) Surgical Solutions – Remote (Northwest & Midlands)
Join W. L. Gore & Associates as a Field Sales Representative to sell and promote our high‑quality, innovative general surgery medical device products portfolio, including GORE® BIO-A® Tissue Reinforcement, GORE® SYNECOR Intraperitoneal Biomaterial, and GORE® SEAMGUARD® Bioabsorbable Staple Line Reinforcement.
This is a remote position based from a home office in Northwest or Midlands England.
Responsibilities- Full ownership for maximising sales and ensuring market penetration with the existing business as well as actively pursuing new customers and developing new opportunities.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and physician customers.
- Coordinate and implement local sales promotion activities.
- Gain recognition as a go‑to person at Gore and as a product expert.
- Attend international and regional trade fairs and congresses.
- Partner closely with the UK Sales Leader, Regional Product Specialists, and Regional Strategic Marketers to achieve the annual revenue forecast.
- Support new product introduction and local marketing initiatives.
- Provide clinical product education and training, and regularly participate in the Operating Room.
- Apply a solid knowledge of business fundamentals and hospital organisations to assist in dealings with public and private hospital administrations and purchasing departments.
- Contribute to the success of the EMEA Surgical Solutions business through subject‑matter expertise and deep market and customer understanding, particularly in the Complex Hernia and Bariatric market.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a medical device Field Sales representative, preferably with a medical engineering or clinical background in the Hernia environment.
- Ideally degree‑educated in a science, technical or clinical discipline.
- Passionate about clinical sales.
- Extensive commercial skills enabling presentation and negotiation to a wide variety of people.
- Proactive, self‑motivated and well‑organised.
- Ability to analyse and understand the market to plan objectives, strategies and actions according to business unit guidelines.
- Flexible with a strong work ethic, responsive to customer requirements.
- Team‑player, naturally interacting with colleagues across Europe on a regular basis.
- Willingness to undertake extensive travel within the UK, and internationally, to sales meetings, congresses and training; easy access to an international airport within the territory is essential.
- Experience in leading people.
- Hernia sales background.
- Previous experience in abdominal wall reconstruction.
