New Business Consultant – Barbour EHS

About the Role

In this role, you will engage with potential clients through dynamic sales presentations conducted via phone and Web Ex, with face‑to‑face visits scheduled when necessary. You’ll be responsible for booking 50 % of your own appointments from warm leads provided by the Barbour marketing team, while the remaining 50 % will be scheduled for you by a dedicated tele‑appointer. Each sales presentation, typically lasting between 30 to 60 minutes, will allow you to showcase our offerings and build lasting relationships.

To succeed, you need to complete at least seven sales presentations per week, following our proven sales process all the way to closing the sale. This is an exciting opportunity for self‑motivated individuals who are passionate about sales and making an impact!

Key Duties
  • Fill your diary with at least 15 appointments per week, 50 % booked by yourself.
  • Conduct at least 7 sales presentations per week.
  • Hit a new sales target of £19 k per month when fully trained.
  • Use industry‑related information to maximise every opportunity to a successful conclusion for the company and the customer.
  • Fully understand and absorb the features and benefits of all the company’s products and services and be able to present them.
  • Maintain the company database accurately throughout dealings with the customer.
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports on progress.
  • Undertake training as required to meet the requirements of the job description.

  • Experienced salesperson with excellent telephone and face‑to‑face presentation skills and a strong understanding of the sales process.
  • Proven and demonstrable track record of achieving targets.
  • Self‑motivated and very driven, working on your own initiative.
  • Good team player within an established and successful team.
  • Strong network for mentoring and support, with a preference for solution selling and background in information sales.
  • Excellent organisational skills, good IT skills with Outlook, Web Ex, and an understanding of CRM up‑to‑date maintenance.
  • Articulate with good literacy skills.

  • Salary: £40,000 per annum plus uncapped commission package with an achievable OTE of £60,000 per annum.
  • Location:

    Remote based.

    Monday to Friday, 9 – 5:30 pm with a one‑hour unpaid lunch break.
