ABOUT THE ROLE:

Working with Distributors, OEM customers, and contractors in the Northern region, the job holder is responsible for developing sales of the company’s product portfolio in line with agreed sales and volume targets. To develop and implement sales plans to deliver headline sales and margin objectives for these customer groups, including contractors that are buying from distributors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Ensure sales and volume targets are achieved in line with agreed plan.

• Take a lead role in the presentation and delivery of new products, achieving sales growth in line with agreed targets.

• Drive relevant key initiatives to meet sales targets for those product groups with Distributors, contractors, and OEM customers.

• Ensure all relationships with key contacts are maintained, and enhanced in line with business strategy and that communication with customers is in line with the business “message.”

• Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of the customer base and marketplace.

• To propose Special Price Agreements to the Commercial Director where required to win additional sales volume.

• Prepare and keep up to date detailed account plans for each major distributor to demonstrate strategic thinking. Plans should be in line with company objectives and easily translated into activities required to deliver results.

• Utilising the companies CRM system to maintain accurate and up to date customer records including visit reports for each meeting.

• Effectively communicate market intelligence directly and speedily with line manager to minimize any commercial vulnerabilities.

• Make recommendations for new products and services.

• Undertake additional duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business

ABOUT YOU:

• Experience in distribution sales, preferably in a related industry (desired)

• Experience of preparing detailed sales plans (desired)

• Experience of preparing detailed sales plans

Skills

• Must be able to persuade and influence effectively in a range of situations.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, critically the job holder must be able to communicate, engage and present effectively.

• Excellent problem solving/decision making skills.

• Customer focused.

• Good sales skills

• Demonstrate the drive and enthusiasm needed to deliver outstanding results.

• Commercial experience in related industry (desirable)

• Effective negotiation skills Qualifications and experience

• Educated to appropriate level, professional certificate. Systems knowledge Required.
• Good IT skills (MS Office)

• Experience of managing and planning using a CRM system (desirable)
