Sales Development Representative
Altera Recruitment Group is partnering with a growing clean technology business that is entering an exciting new phase of expansion following the launch of a refreshed product portfolio and brand strategy. The business has built strong relationships and is now expanding its commercial team to appoint a Sales Development Representative to help introduce a new generation of specialist solutions to industrial and maritime customers.

The Sales Development Representative sits at the front end of the sales function, focusing on identifying opportunities, starting meaningful conversations with potential customers and building a strong pipeline for the wider commercial team. You will engage with industry operators to understand how they currently clean and maintain equipment, introducing them to solutions that can improve safety, efficiency and environmental performance.

You will work closely with the commercial leadership team and benefit from structured training to develop your product knowledge, industry understanding and consultative sales skills.

Key Responsibilities of the Sales Development Rep include:

* Identify and engage potential customers within industrial manufacturing and maritime sectors.

* Generate new opportunities through outreach, networking and targeted prospecting.

* Qualify leads and develop early stage relationships before introducing opportunities to the wider sales team.

* Maintain a well organised CRM pipeline and track all prospect activity.

* Support the commercial team with market insights, customer feedback and new business opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

* Previous experience in a sales development, business development or customer facing role would be beneficial.

* Confident communicator who enjoys starting conversations and building relationships.

* Organised approach to managing leads, activity and pipeline within a CRM system.

* Curious mindset with an interest in learning about industrial processes and customer challenges.

* Self motivated with the drive to create opportunities and develop a career within technical sales.

What this is offering:

 * £30,000 - £35,000 basic salary

* Commission structure with strong earning potential

* Hybrid working 4 days wfh and 1 in the office

* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
