Retail Industrial Placement

As an Energy Specialist, you will spend the first 6 months working in a team of 10‑15 people providing end‑to‑end customer support to our Small Business or Residential customers. You’ll connect with customers over the phone and through digital channels such as text and email. We’ll train you in everything our customers need so that you’re fully prepared to handle any enquiry.

The next 6 months will see you specialising in one of our core business functions, working alongside experienced professionals and gaining deep knowledge in your chosen area.

• Residential Sales and Marketing – shaping compelling propositions, delivering campaigns, and creating value for customers.
• Commercial and Performance – analysing pricing, data and business impact using tools such as Tableau, JIRA, Snowflake and SQL.
• Residential Solutions & Automation – resolving commercial, regulatory and operational issues that impact the Retail business unit.
• Revenue Operations – project managing process improvements to reduce debt exposure and boost payment collection.
• Small Business Marketing – creating emails, supporting paid advertising, social posts and partnership campaigns.
• Small Business Sales – growing direct sales channels and improving sales processes with partners.

You’ll be based in one of our offices – Hove, Doxford (Sunderland), or Exeter – and enjoy the option to work from home when needed as part of our hybrid model.

A self‑starter and creative thinker who is enthusiastic, motivated and a team player. Excellent communication skills, a willingness to take on new challenges, and a positive attitude will help you succeed. No experience is required; we are looking for individuals who want to learn and grow.
