Job Summary

We are seeking to increase our network of NAMs in the UK within the Industrial equipment/machinery and Hazardous Locations sector. This role could be home based if preferred.

Primary Function

Serves as the primary customer contact in the development of new accounts. Works with Marketing to identify prospects, nurture leads, and develop accurate account strategies to win business from companies that do not currently work with CSA Group. Builds customer profiles and call plans to address why prospects are not using CSA, articulating CSA’s value proposition to win their business.

Responsibilities
  • Establishes new account relationships to meet personal sales targets.
  • Independently prospects for new customers within assigned territory using lead generation and direct solicitation methods.
  • Prepares written proposals of cost for services, working with Technical Specialists and Operations staff.
  • Contacts former CSA Group customers lost to other agencies to attempt to regain work.
  • Participates in associations and external organizations deemed appropriate by management.
  • Establishes and maintains a list of contacts based on experience, historic utilization reputation, influence and personal judgment.
  • Provides periodic written reports on calls, customer contact, proposals, quotes, expenses, travel and trade‑show activities, and oral presentations as required.
  • Evaluates industry reports, territory databases, external competitive information and develops territory analysis or provides input for presentation and reporting to manager.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of sales experience or equivalent industry experience.
  • Prior experience with sales CRM tracking software (a plus).
  • Proven ability to consistently exceed sales goals.
  • Experience dealing with large organizations at senior level.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to create, prepare and execute complex business strategies while organizing multiple projects.
  • Organized, independent and confidential in previous positions.
  • Strong initiative and ability to develop new customer contacts.
  • Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
  • Creativity and project‑management skills to plan for projects, events and conferences.
  • High level of initiative and motivation to meet or exceed targeted goals with minimal supervision.
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM database applications.
  • Responsive and pleasant when dealing with external and internal customers, peers and co‑workers.
Must Haves
  • A strong sales background.
  • Ability to read markets and develop business.
  • Ability to build long‑term selling relationships and handle frustrations and setbacks.
  • Real hunger and determination to succeed.
  • Excellent English skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised without micromanagement.
  • Some experience in TIC (ideally within Industrial equipment/machinery and/or Hazardous locations / explosive atmospheres) or a linked background.
Preferred
  • Existing regional network specifically within the Industrial equipment/machinery and/or Hazardous locations / explosive atmospheres sector.
