About the RoleWe are hiring a Residential Solar Salesperson to join our residential sales team. You will sell solar and battery storage systems to homeowners, owning the customer relationship from first enquiry through to signed contract.
When a customer gets in touch, the project becomes yours. You will assess the property, scope the right system, brief our in-house designer, present the proposal, and manage every follow-up through to signature. You will run your own pipeline and own your numbers. We will give you the tools, training, and support to do that well, and we trust you to get on with it.

Key Responsibilities- Engage with homeowners by phone, email, and video to understand their needs.
- Recommend solar and battery storage solutions that match the customer’s property, usage, and budget.
- Visit customer properties to assess installation feasibility and capture survey information, once trained.
- Brief our in-house designer on customer requirements and site conditions, then present the finished proposal back to the customer.
- Manage your own sales pipeline and follow up on leads within agreed time frames.
- Hand over signed projects cleanly to our projects and installation team.
- Hit monthly sales targets and earn commission on closed deals.
- 1 to 2 years’ experience selling residential solar systems.
- Experience conducting on‑site sales surveys and meeting customers in person.
- Strong on technical detail, and equally confident speaking with customers and handling objections.
- Clear communicator, written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical ideas in plain English.
- Organised, self‑motivated, and detail‑focused.
- Willing to learn fast and take ownership of your performance.
- Familiarity with Tesla Powerwall 3 or Sigenergy Sigen Stor systems is a bonus, not a requirement.
- Full UK driving licence, or a firm commitment to obtain one before the start date.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Office-based at our Reading site, 5 days per week.
- Occasional home working by agreement when the role allows.
