Business Development Manager - Hutchinson's PVC Solutions

Pay: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year

Hutchinsons is a fast-growing UK manufacturer and installer, working with industrial and commercial customers across the UK.

We’re looking for a commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in our next stage of growth.

This role suits someone who enjoys building strong relationships, understanding customer needs and managing opportunities from enquiry through to completion. While there is an element of proactive business development, a large proportion of your opportunities will come from inbound enquiries, allowing you to focus on consultative selling and delivering a great customer experience.

The role:

You’ll manage enquiries from first contact through to close, speaking with customers such as construction managers, factory owners and warehouse operators to understand their requirements and guide them toward the right solution.

The role involves preparing bespoke quotations and proposals, running Zoom and occasional face‑to‑face meetings, and managing opportunities through varying sales cycles - from quick‑turn projects to larger opportunities that develop over time.

You’ll also be responsible for keeping your pipeline organised within Hub Spot, following up consistently and building strong relationships with customers throughout the sales process.

About the projects:

As many of our customers purchase for specific projects, this is a genuine business development role where communication, organisation and relationship‑building are just as important as commercial ability.

We’re looking for someone with previous B2B sales experience who is confident communicating with customers, commercially aware and motivated to succeed. We’re interested in candidates from consultative B2B sales backgrounds who can demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism and the ability to manage opportunities effectively.

Working hours:

Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm in office

Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm working from home
