Recruitment Business Development Intern
We are a niche international recruitment agency seeking a Business Development Intern to support growth. The role involves remote working and focuses on identifying and maximizing new business opportunities within existing clients and major key accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Network with contacts across the industry to develop new contacts in existing clients.
- Take a lead role in accounts.
- Initiate and lead new client pitches and major account opportunities.
- Keep abreast of industry challenges to present innovative recruitment solutions.
- Seek and identify new commercially viable business opportunities.
- Pro‑actively map and network with contacts to build strategically important relationships.
- Initiate new and innovative client development methods.
- Work closely with the Director to identify new client engagement strategies based on client and market demands.
- Identify and attend relevant industry events and networking opportunities.
- Be a known market expert, keeping industry updates up to date.
- Create webinars, strategy sessions, and maintain proactive social media presence to generate awareness and new business.
- Regularly analyze own performance to stay on track.
- Use proactive client development systems effectively.
- Identify new opportunities and creative solutions.
- Achieve and monitor monthly new business activity targets.
- Interest in sales / telesales, ideally B2B.
- Pro‑active, hunter‑type approach.
- Enjoys building and leveraging a network.
- Confident communicator with advanced verbal and written skills.
- Ability to engage and network at Director level.
- Ability to sell high‑level commercial solutions and lead business meetings.
- Can spot opportunities easily and leverage knowledge and contacts.
- Strategic thinker with a big‑picture perspective.
- High level of self‑drive, discipline, and KPI orientation.
- Creative thinker with fresh ideas.
- Minimum degree or equivalent qualifications in any subject.
- Excellent communication skills across telephone, online, written, and occasional face‑to‑face.
- Punctual, flexible, and reliable.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
- Initiative‑driven and capable of using own initiative.
- Strong relationship‑building skills.
- Remuneration:
Unpaid. - Location:
Remote working. - Length: 6 weeks to 6 months.
