The Role
Clearpay is looking for an Account Executive with a strong new logo sales background and a self‑starter disposition to join our SMB Sales Team. You will work with all merchant verticals, create your own outbound strategy, and work with the Business Development team to build a book of business. You will be expected to source leads, cold‑call and email them to generate interest and close deals, selling the Clearpay value to SMB merchants.
Youwill:
- Understand the needs of a merchant to execute a sales motion using a consultative approach
- Conduct prospecting, discovery calls, demos and develop a solution that best meets the prospect's needs
- Deliver a predictable, repeatable and scalable outbound sales process to fill your pipeline and close deals (prospecting activities include cold calling, cold emailing, social selling, etc.)
- Partner with our Business Development Team to convert and close cold, outbound leads
- Lead the charge introducing Clearpay to merchants in all verticals and drive go‑live urgency
- Oversee the sales cycle from prospect to close and partner with other teams to ensure successful merchant onboarding
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals and measurements through proactive outbound sales efforts
- Use your prior sales experience to inform a creative go‑to‑market strategy
- Use Salesforce to track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and outcomes
- 2‑4+ years of experience in an outbound sales role
- Interest in helping SMB sellers
- Experience exceeding sales targets through self‑sourced lead generation
- A structured thought process with the ability to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyers
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills that help you connect with customers by email and phone—quickly establishing trust
- The ability to drive deals independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and drive activation post‑close
- Demonstrated portfolio growth using repeatable playbooks
- A collaborative and team‑player mentality
- Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent
