About the Team

This role sits within the global sales team, reporting to the VP of Sales. You will leverage relationships built by the sales team and the wider Association through lobbying, technology, and promotional work, using the GSMA’s influence in the connectivity industry to source new clients for the Events business. Collaboration across functional and matrix teams is essential.

About the Role

Senior sales position focused on commercial growth within the Events platform. The successful candidate will have a hunter‑style approach and be able to identify and approach buyers in new verticals, quantify opportunities, and close complex, high‑value deals. The role is consultative: you will tailor solutions to unique customer needs, craft creative proposals, and navigate the sales process to contract signature, with minimal administrative or post‑sale account management.

About

You

• Extensive sales experience, including some people‑management
• Self‑starter who thrives on developing new business and delivering measurable results
• Knowledge of the connectivity and telecom industry or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge
• Experience selling events (or related media/technical sales)
• Strong commercial background with a track record of exceeding targets
• Ability to craft complex sales proposals that fully exploit opportunities
• Autonomous, proactive, and self‑motivated
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Computer literate with knowledge of Salesforce, Linked In and Sales Navigator preferred
