Business Development Representative
Support the National Field Sales Team by driving market share growth across a defined portfolio of stores. Focus on AG Barr core brand distribution and visibility within impulse outlets to achieve model store status, while maximizing exposure of AG Barr brands through campaign and brand POS placement.
Responsibilities- Adopt a Safety First mindset and comply with all required H&S standards (e.g., Safe Systems of work, Pristine Principles, Site Risk Assessments).
- Drive distribution of AG Barr Focus lines, ensuring specific stores stock must‑stock lines and showcase new product development.
- Embed the energy portfolio and Focus 5 Brands, improving sales rate and distribution on key energy and 500ml packs across all routes to market.
- Deliver sales KPIs, including market share growth, scorecard improvement, new accounts, display, point of sale placement, and availability.
- Activate brand and in‑store plans, selling and communicating brand plans locally, educating retailers, and ensuring associated KPIs are achieved.
- Build relationships cross‑functionally within the territory team and participate in targeted tactical activity drives such as new product launches and seasonal merchandising.
- Demonstrate market share growth through scorecard improvement.
- Present brands via prepared presentations, secure purchase commitments, and support retailer re‑merchandising as needed.
- Complete administrative tasks such as order sheets and call reports.
- Execute excellent point‑of‑purchase brand awareness.
- Align distribution with the brand portfolio to meet the customer type across all routes to market.
- Improve distribution of key brands in line with the company marketing plan.
- Full driving licence.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a team and demonstrate personal leadership.
- Self‑motivation with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Fluent in English.
- Flexibility to attend monthly team meetings, including overnight stays.
