Ready to drive growth and build something bigger? We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a successful and growing business. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities, and turning conversations into long-term partnerships. This role will suit someone who enjoys being out in front of customers, building networks, and taking ownership of their sales territory.
While there is flexibility to work remotely when required, the preferred working environment is office-based, with regular customer visits and time spent developing relationships in the field.
The Role:
Identifying and securing new business opportunities to support company growth. Developing relationships with prospective customers and key decision-makers. Building a strong understanding of customer requirements and identifying solutions that add value. Managing the full business development process from initial contact through to building long-term partnerships. Growing and maintaining a strong sales pipeline. Researching markets, identifying potential customers, and creating new opportunities.
Working closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Maintaining accurate records of sales activity, customer engagement, and opportunities. Reporting on key sales performance indicators and progress against targets. Taking ownership of agreed sales targets and delivering results.
About You:
We are looking for a confident and motivated sales professional who enjoys developing relationships and creating new opportunities. You will ideally have:
Previous experience in business development, B2B sales, account growth, or a similar commercial role. A proven ability to build relationships with customers and key stakeholders. A proactive approach to identifying and converting new opportunities. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Commercial awareness with the ability to understand customer needs and business objectives. Excellent organisation and time management skills. The ability to manage your own diary, workload, and sales activity effectively.
Confidence working independently while also contributing to a wider sales team. A target-driven mindset with the motivation to achieve and exceed goals.
