Purpose of the role Purpose of the role: The Commercial Manager is responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy of Harbour & Voyage. This role includes identifying new business opportunities, optimizing business processes and expanding the product and service offerings.
Responsibilities Developing commercial strategies:
Creating and implementing growth strategies to strengthen Harbour & Voyage's market position.
Market analysis:
Conducting market analyses to identify trends and opportunities.
Product development:
Expanding the product and service offerings by developing new products or improving existing ones.
Customer relationships:
Acquiring new customers and maintaining existing customer relationships.
Marketing campaigns:
Overseeing the creation and execution of marketing campaigns.
Reporting:
Reporting progress and results to the management.
Leadership:
Leading and motivating the sales and marketing team.
Budget management:
Preparing and managing sales and marketing budgets.
Contract negotiations:
Conducting contract negotiations with new and existing customers.
Required skills and competencies Leadership:
Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide the team.
Analytical skills:
Excellent analytical skills to identify and leverage market trends.
Communication:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strategic thinking:
Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
Result-oriented:
Focused on achieving commercial objectives and growth.
Education and experience A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in a commercial role, preferably within the maritime or Heavy Offshore sector.
Languages:
Fluent in Dutch, English and possibly Spanish.
