Job Summary

Business Development Executive – responsible for managing the complete sales cycle and the implementation of our Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme for SME clients (up to 500 employees). The role is remote with travel to Watford HQ and requires a hybrid working pattern of at least two days per week onsite.

Responsibilities
  • Drive end‑to‑end sales of the Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme for SMEs.
  • Develop warm leads and handle inbound business enquiries.
  • Act as a vital resource for the field sales team, supporting the introduction of additional products from our portfolio.
  • Provide secondary support for partnerships with employee benefit providers, delivering timely and professional responses to partners and their clients.
  • Prepare and deliver new business presentations via telephone, webinar, and occasional face‑to‑face meetings.
  • Draft proposals, tenders, and quotes for prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships, managing accounts and working with stakeholders up to Director level.
  • Act as the first point of contact for SME enquiries, tender submissions, and proposals.
  • Handle SME enquiries through email, phone, or the website, assisting customers with online systems.
  • Lead Webex meetings and, when required, face‑to‑face meetings with clients at their premises.
  • Develop deployment plans, integration requirements, and project schedules for each SME customer.
  • Raise and manage contractual agreements internally and externally.
  • Set up internal systems according to customer requirements and launch schemes.
  • Submit and manage credit requests with funding partners.
  • Build relationships with prospective customers, internal departments, and employee benefit providers to ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Explain employee tax legislation, car policies, and procedures to clients at various seniority levels.
Qualifications
  • Highly organised and detail oriented.
  • Previous experience in sales and enquiry management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including call handling.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of customers.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently to meet targets.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and self‑motivation to meet deadlines.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately with data.
  • Minimum of GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or equivalent).
  • Competent PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Desirable: leasing or fleet management experience, vehicle product knowledge, or prior work in the employee benefits industry.
