Sales Manager, Account Manager - components - packaging and process machinery

Home based, ideally living within East Anglia but you can live anywhere in the UK.

Norwich, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Cambridge, Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Bristol, Lincoln.

Basic Salary: up to £45,000.

• Commission and bonus to earn roughly £15,000 in the first year for an on‑target earnings (OTE) of £60,000, with OTE projected at roughly £75,000 in years 2 and 3.
• Hybrid company car.

This Sales Manager role is a classic sales and account management position working from home, with one week per month in the office (staying in a hotel if not commutable). Responsibilities include selling spare parts and components used in packaging machinery for the food manufacturing industry.

• 50% internal sales and 50% visiting clients nationally.
• 60% of the role focuses on existing account management and 40% on business development sourced from a clean CRM with a realistic first‑year target.

• Proven track record of success in a field‑based or internal sales role selling engineered components or spare parts into the food manufacturing market.
• Ideally, experience selling spare parts or components for packaging or process machinery used in the food industry directly to end users.
• Engineering background advantageous, particularly if previous experience includes service engineering, though not essential.
• Commercially aware with a strong drive to succeed in sales.
