Area Sales Engineer – Industrial Electrical Connection Solutions

Location: Western/M6 corridor Region of England (Lancashire to Swindon, West of England, includes Wales). Home-based/Field-based.

Salary & Benefits: Basic salary of approx £55,000 plus £15,000 bonus, company car, health insurance allowance, mobile allowance, laptop, 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays, pension.

About the Company: Leading global manufacturer of high quality connection solutions for the industrial electrical sector. Full in-house design, manufacture and materials control. Market-leading products and a customer-focused approach.

• Build upon existing accounts and generate new business within the territory.
• Maintain and further develop relationships with distribution partners.
• Sell the company’s portfolio of industrial electrical connection solutions, control stations and ATEX products to industrial sector customers via end users, OEMs, system integrators, panel builders, distributors, and wholesale resellers.
• Identify suitable projects and industry sector targets, achieve specification or preferred supplier status, and deal with consultants and major contractors.
• Follow projects through to order stage.

• Technical background in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience in the electrical sector.
• Strong, successful technical sales background selling electrical products and components, preferably for a niche manufacturer.
• Commercial flair and experience in the industrial electrical marketplace.
• Experience working with consultants, major contractors and distribution partners.
• Familiarity with control industry components and ATEX products is desirable.
