Senior Technical Sales Manager

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Technical Sales Manager in embedded computing to lead a high‑calibre sales engineering team and drive business development of technical products across multiple industries.

• Develop and execute strategic sales objectives for the embedded computing business unit.
• Manage a team of 7 Technical Sales Managers and Sales Engineers.
• Provide consultative technical solutions to meet customer needs.
• Position the company’s value proposition to key accounts in Medical, Transportation, Marine, Agricultural Technology, Industrial, Aerospace, and Defence markets.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Negotiate contracts, prepare proposals, generate quotations, and close orders.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, applications, and markets.
• Drive and develop key accounts to achieve annual sales, gross margin, and MBO targets.
• Conduct regular business and strategy reviews with customers and suppliers.
• Collaborate with wider field‑sales teams to promote cross‑sell opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety Policy and Quality/ISO standards.

• Degree in engineering (electronics, computer, aerospace, telecom) or commercial discipline.
• 5+ years of key account management and new business development experience in embedded computing.
• Extensive sales team management experience.
• Proven track record selling embedded computing platforms, boards & systems, display/monitor, panel PC, edge computing, IoT, AI.
• Experience supporting Field Sales Engineers in developing new business and closing opportunities.
• Strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of customer base, markets, and applications.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Valid UK driving licence and UK passport holder (required for MOD contracts).
