Internal Sales Executive

CDM Recruitment is recruiting an Internal Sales Executive to join a busy telephone-based sales team. The role combines account management, customer service, order processing and pricing activity, with full training available for someone who has the right commercial attitude and communication skills.

• Build and maintain relationships with a diverse customer base.
• Handle incoming customer enquiries and process orders.
• Discuss pricing, quotations and tenders with customers.
• Identify and maximise new business opportunities.
• Manage customer accounts through the established sales process.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Maintain high standards of customer care.

• Strong telephone communication skills and a professional manner.
• Customer-focused, commercially aware and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Previous internal sales, telephony sales or customer service experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Cable/electrical sector experience would be advantageous, although transferable backgrounds will be considered.

• This is a full-time, office-based position. Hybrid and remote working are not offered.
• 22 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service to a maximum of 25 days.
• Annual pay review.
