Area Sales Manager Farm Animal Feed Midlands | Field Based £40,000 £ 50,000  bonus/commission, company car & benefits Full-time | Permanent A great opportunity for someone who knows farming and knows sales Are you an experienced agricultural sales professional with a strong understanding of livestock farming? Perhaps you're already working within animal feed, nutrition, agricultural supplies or a related sector , and you're looking for a role where you can take ownership of a territory, build long-term customer relationships and have a genuine impact on business growth.

Were looking for an ambitious Area Sales Manager to manage and develop an established territory across the Midlands for an established farm animal feed business. This is a field-based role with a strong focus on dairy, beef and livestock customers , combining commercial sales activity with a consultative approach to supporting farmers. Your territory. Your customers. Your results. You'll take responsibility for developing sales and customer relationships across your area, working directly with farmers and other agricultural stakeholders.

You'll be out on farm, understanding individual businesses and identifying opportunities to provide the right feed and nutritional solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and growing an established customer base across the Midlands. Developing strong, long-term relationships with dairy, beef and other livestock producers. Identifying and winning new business within your territory. Understanding individual farm businesses, production systems and customer requirements. Providing commercially focused feed and nutritional recommendations. Working towards agreed sales, margin and customer-retention targets. Conducting regular on-farm visits and customer reviews.

Monitoring customer performance and identifying opportunities to increase account value. Working alongside technical and nutrition colleagues to deliver appropriate solutions. Providing accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence. Keeping up to date with developments across livestock farming, feed markets and agricultural policy. Representing the business at agricultural events, meetings and industry activities. Maintaining accurate records of customer activity, opportunities and sales performance.

What we're looking for Were looking for someone who is comfortable talking to farmers, understands the realities of livestock production and enjoys the commercial side of agriculture . You might currently be working as an:
Area Sales Manager Agricultural Sales Representative Feed Sales Specialist Ruminant Nutritionist Farm Business Consultant Account Manager within the agricultural sector Technical Sales Manager Agricultural Merchant / Sales Professional You'll ideally have:
Experience selling into the agricultural or livestock sector. A good understanding of dairy, beef and/or other farm animal production systems. Strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to develop sales. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills. The confidence to work independently across a field-based territory. A consultative approach to selling rather than a purely transactional one. Good planning and organisational skills.

The ability to understand customer needs and translate them into commercially viable solutions. A genuine interest in farming and the agricultural industry. A formal qualification in agriculture, animal science, nutrition or a related discipline would be advantageous, but relevant practical and commercial experience will be equally valued. Why join?
