We're looking for a Regional Engagement Executive to join our Membership team, supporting members primarily across the South East of England, including areas such as Oxfordshire, Reading, Southampton and Portsmouth
, while working as part of the wider London and South East regional team.

This role offers a salary £32,500 - £34,000 and is home-based, with regular travel across the region to attend member meetings, networking events and deliver regional activities. You'll enjoy a high degree of autonomy while working closely with a collaborative and supportive national team.

What you will be doing

  • To support the Regional Engagement Manager in the planning and delivery of local activity. This will include all aspects of engagement, from planning through to delivery and subsequent reporting.
  • To raise the profile and standing of ICAEW and Chartered Accountants under the direction of the Regional Engagement Manager with members, potential future members, and stakeholders. This will include reaching out to non-engaged members and stakeholders.
  • To continually identify opportunities to widen existing networks and relationships and raise visibility as a point of contact with local members, member firms and stakeholders.
  • Be the day-to-day point of contact for the administration of the operational aspects of the regional member engagement and activity plan, collaborating with colleagues and local volunteer member groups.
  • Work in collaboration with the marketing team to support the promotion of activities and events, across all channels and via relationship networks. This will include posting relevant and engaging content on appropriate channels.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across ICAEW to ensure relevant resources and support is communicated to members in the region and ensure that feedback from members is communicated accordingly.

What you will need

Experience

  • Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to build and maintain strong local/regional connections.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Experience of event curation, planning (inc. budgets) & delivery (virtual & physical formats).
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • An understanding and experience of digital communication channels, social media and networks.
  • An understanding of the professional services/accountancy/finance sector is desirable and an interest in current/economic affairs and the ability to align strategies with sector-specific trends and challenges.
  • A problem solver who shows initiative and is a critical thinker. The ability to conduct independent research, propose innovative solutions and shows a proactive approach to addressing issues.
  • A positive attitude and flexibility contribute to a constructive work environment and the ability to adapt to evolving situations.
  • Flexible to travel and hold a full, clean driving licence (plus have access to a vehicle).

Be located in the region and be willing to travel across the region & further afield if required

  • A confident communicator who can comfortably present to groups, chair meetings and represent ICAEW with credibility.
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills, with the emotional intelligence to understand members' needs and build long-term engagement.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while working autonomously.
