Field Sales Representative - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking an ambitious and self-motivated Field Sales Representative to join their team, working remotely across the Vereeniging region and surrounding areas. This role is essential for driving sales growth by establishing and nurturing relationships with retail partners and ensuring optimal product placement and visibility for their FMCG products. You will be the face of our client's brands, responsible for meeting sales targets, presenting new products, and gathering market intelligence.

This position thrives on autonomy and requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, all managed within a remote-first framework where your territory management is key.

• Actively pursue and secure new business opportunities with retailers and distributors within the assigned sales territory.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business for FMCG products.
• Effectively present and sell the company's product portfolio, highlighting features, benefits, and promotional offers.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and other key performance indicators.
• Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, customer needs, and market trends to inform sales strategies.
• Ensure proper product merchandising and in-store visibility at client locations.

• Proven experience in field sales, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets consistently.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for travel within the territory.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business or Marketing is a plus.
