About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Key Account Manager to manage and grow their portfolio of important clients in the Durban area. This role is crucial for maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing high-value customers, ensuring their needs are met and their satisfaction remains high. You will act as the primary point of contact, providing exceptional service and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal skills and a strategic approach to client management, contributing to sustained revenue streams and client loyalty in the Kwa Zulu-Natal market.
- Manage and nurture a portfolio of key accounts , ensuring high levels of client retention and satisfaction.
- Develop and execute account growth plans, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling our client's products/services.
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess performance and gather feedback.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Monitor client account health and proactively identify potential risks or challenges.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Key Account Management or a similar client-facing sales role.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CRM software and account management tools.
- Demonstrated success in achieving retention and growth targets for assigned accounts.
- Familiarity with the business environment in Durban and surrounding areas.
