Based out of our North American headquarters in Novi, Michigan, this role operates on a hybrid schedule that blends in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility . As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and closing new enterprise business, with a focus on our digital engineering technology stack of: mode FRONTIER, VOLTA, and our newly launched AI engineering platform, nDAI.
This role requires a consultative sales approach, a deep understanding of the digital engineering and simulation/CAE landscape, and the ability to engage with C-level executives, engineering directors, and CAE analysts to solve complex design and data governance challenges.
Core ResponsibilitiesNew Business Generation: Prospect, qualify, and close new enterprise accounts across North America, meeting or exceeding annual software licensing revenue targets.
Strategic Pipeline Development: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, industry networking, targeted campaigns, and collaboration with the marketing team.
Consultative Solution Selling: Lead complex sales cycles by understanding customer engineering workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and positioning ESTECO’s software stack as the premium solution for design optimization, SPDM (Simulation Process and Data Management), and AI-driven engineering.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Application Engineers and Pre-Sales Technical teams to orchestrate proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements, technical demonstrations, and customized solution architectures.
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering. (A background in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering paired with sales experience is highly preferred).
Experience: 5+ years of quota-carrying B2B simulation/CAE software sales or business development experience.
Domain Expertise: Proven track record selling complex engineering software, preferably in CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering), SPDM, or industrial AI/ML solutions.
Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to navigate 6-to-12-month sales cycles, manage multiple stakeholders in a technical sale, and consistently achieve six-to-seven-figure revenue quotas.
Communication: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and written communication skills. Ability to translate highly technical concepts into distinct business value and ROI.
Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40% across North America for client meetings and industry conferences.
