Working Hours:

Home based with remote working 4 days per week. Regular travel to customer sites, Head Office and company locations required. My client is looking for an experienced Customer Account Manager to manage a portfolio of key customer accounts across Retail, B2B and Trader markets. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful commercial team, developing customer relationships, driving account growth and supporting the delivery of outstanding customer service.

Key Duties Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and act as the primary day-to-day contact. Build strong, long-term relationships by understanding customer objectives, challenges and opportunities. Support the achievement of sales volume, revenue and margin targets across allocated accounts. Work closely with senior commercial colleagues to develop account plans, pricing strategies and customer agreements. Identify opportunities to grow existing business and support the successful conversion of new commercial opportunities.

Maintain regular customer contact, conducting reviews and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with internal departments including Customer Service, Planning, Operations, Quality, NPD, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer requirements are delivered effectively. Monitor account performance and provide updates on sales activity, pricing, service levels and customer developments. Support the resolution of customer service issues, quality concerns, supply challenges and other account-related matters.

Maintain accurate commercial records, account plans, reports and customer documentation. Assist with credit control activities by ensuring customers operate within agreed payment terms. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and internal processes. Develop a strong understanding of products, manufacturing capabilities and supply chain operations to provide informed support to customers and colleagues. Requirements Minimum 2 to 4 years' experience in customer account management, sales or commercial support.

Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. Good understanding of commercial processes, customer service expectations and profitable sales growth. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Strong numerical and analytical ability with sound commercial awareness. Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard business systems. Ability to prepare customer presentations, account plans, reports and commercial updates. Professional and customer-focused approach with a solutions-oriented mindset.

Willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK and occasionally across Europe. Previous experience in a home-based or field-based commercial role is desirable.
