We are currently recruiting for Sr Director, Global Strategic Account Management to join the Global Commercial team
. The role is responsible for developing and executing the global account strategy for a portfolio of strategic customers. This role drives profitable revenue growth, strengthens executive-level customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and ensures alignment between customer objectives and company capabilities, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.
This role can be located close by one of our global locations in Oxford, UK, Durham, NC, US, or Strasbourg or Lyon in France.
Your responsibilities in this role would be to:
- Develop and execute global strategic account plans for assigned Cell & Gene Therapy customers.
- Build trusted relationships with executive sponsors, C-suite leaders, and technical stakeholders.
- Lead high-value customer relationships from early development through commercial supply, aligning customer pipelines with Contract Development Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO capabilities)
- Drive profitable growth through programme expansion, strategic account penetration, contract renewals, and commercial negotiations.
- Lead executive business reviews, governance meetings, and portfolio planning discussions.
- Align customer expectations with operational capabilities and resolve complex commercial, operational, quality, or supply issues.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Cell & Gene Therapy markets, competitors, regulations, and emerging technologies, while representing the company at industry and executive events.
We are looking for :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s qualification in life sciences or business; a PhD and/or MBA is desirable.
- Extensive experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, CDMOs, or related sectors, preferably including cell and gene therapy.
- Significant B2B business development, sales, or marketing experience, ideally within pharmaceutical services.
- Strong understanding of process development and GMP manufacturing projects across pharma and biotech.
- Knowledge of CDMO commercial terms, contract structures, and collaboration with external legal advisers.
- Proven ability to win CDMO business, develop compelling value propositions, and create mutually beneficial commercial solutions.
- Ability to guide clients towards novel viral-vector GMP manufacturing solutions and collaborate closely with customer-facing and internal teams.
