- Central Asia.
The Director will build and manage the regional Business Development organization and establish a sustainable commercial platform across the assigned Central Asia markets.
The primary priority of this role is to build, lead, and develop a productive regional team. The Director will also personally support strategic customer relationships and major opportunities.
We are looking for a proactive and self-sufficient leader who can translate Banner’s commercial objectives into clear team priorities, recruit and develop strong Business Development Managers, establish effective market coverage, and ensure the team converts customer access into profitable business.
Reports to: Global Head of Business Development
Role purpose: Build and lead our commercial presence across the Central Asia Region. Grow revenue, expand key accounts, and turn market access into profitable, repeat business.

- Required:
- Experience building markets, commercial organizations, or strategic customer portfolios
- Successful track record managing people across multiple countries or cultures
- Strong commercial judgment and an entrepreneurial, self-sufficient working style
- Professional English (C1+)
- Highly desirable:
- Experience in aircraft components, parts distribution, or MRO services
- Existing relationships with airline or MRO decision-makers in Central Asia
- Aviation experience is not mandatory for an exceptional candidate with strong business relationships, proven team-building ability, and a successful record in complex B2B or B2G environments. The ability and willingness to learn Banner’s aviation business quickly is essential.
- Build and Lead the Regional Team to Develop the Central Asia Business
- Recruit, onboard, and develop BD Managers with relevant aviation or commercial experience and credible customer relationships across priority Central Asia markets
- Establish territory coverage and responsibilities, and build a regional plan for priority countries, customer segments, and commercial opportunities
- Coach and monitor the team through regular reviews, ensure timely and accurate reporting, address performance gaps, and make staffing decisions within Banner’s approved budget and authority
- Ensure BD Managers build structured portfolios of target accounts, develop relationships across procurement, engineering, maintenance, and executive leadership, and understand customer fleets, maintenance plans, and upcoming tenders
- Drive Commercial Execution
- Ensure opportunities progress from relationship development through RFQs, tenders, vendor approvals, first orders, and repeat business
- Review pipeline quality, competitive positioning, and conversion actions - with focus on commercial outcomes rather than activity alone
- Personally support strategic accounts and major opportunities, working closely with Banner’s Operations team on quoting, closing, and fulfillment
- Reporting, CRM and Market Intelligence
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, forecasts, and commercial reports for the Global Head of Business Development
- Build market intelligence on airline fleets, procurement trends, and competitors, and represent Banner at key industry events
- Setup: Remote within the Central Asia Region; frequent regional travel
- Status: Independent Contractor (agent), final arrangement based on location and local requirements
- Travel: Regular trips across
Central Asia for client meetings, team leadership, and industry events - Compensation: Monthly retainer/base plus commission (on revenue, gross profit, or collected payments to be agreed); possible override on team-generated revenue
