As an Associate Group Account Executive (AGAE), you'll play a key role in supporting Group Account Executives while building the skills and experience needed to progress into a Group Account Executive position. This development-focused opportunity provides hands-on exposure to proposals, renewals, client management, advisor relationships, and the full group benefits lifecycle. Working closely with advisors, clients, underwriting teams, and internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure business moves seamlessly from quote to renewal while developing the technical expertise and relationship management skills required for long-term success.

Work Arrangements:You will work from your home office 100% of the time. You may be required to be in-person at our office in Waterloo, ON or another assigned location within the Waterloo Region, on an as needed basis. Sales related roles may be required to travel based on the assignment.
What you’ll do:- Support the qualification of new business opportunities by reviewing specifications, gathering required information, tracking due dates, and qualifying advisor and client leads.
- Coordinate and prepare new business proposals, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
- Manage and support the end-to-end quote process by collaborating with underwriting and internal teams to develop competitive solutions.
- Prepare proposal summaries, comparisons, presentations, and other materials to support Group Account Executives and advisors during the sales process.
- Assist with renewal activities by compiling experience reports, financial data, plan details, renewal documentation, rate comparisons, and client-facing materials.
- Monitor renewal and amendment timelines, support ongoing plan changes, provide proactive amendment opportunities, and conduct mid-year claims report analysis to help advisors and clients meet their business objectives.
- Serve as a key point of coordination between Group Account Executives, advisors, clients, and internal stakeholders by responding to inquiries, supporting service requests, and participating in client and advisor meetings.
- Maintain accurate CRM and internal system records, support reporting and file management activities, contribute to process improvements, and ensure professional, high-quality deliverables across all client interactions.
- 2+ years of experience in sales or service, group benefits, financial services, insurance, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build strong relationships.
- A proactive, curious, and growth-oriented mindset with a genuine desire to learn, develop, and take ownership of outcomes.
