Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a commercially driven Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of EMEA-headquartered automotive customers across the USA and Canada. In this role, you’ll build strategic customer relationships, develop new business, and expand the use of our Shipping, Logistics, and Supply Chain Solutions. You’ll act as the commercial owner for your assigned accounts, working closely with global Key Account Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver customer value and profitable growth.
WhatYou’ll Do
Own account plans and commercial priorities for assigned customers across the USA and Canada. Build trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders and position Wallenius Wilhelmsen as a strategic logistics partner. Identify and convert opportunities across Shipping, Logistics, and Supply Chain Solutions through upselling and cross-selling. Build and manage a strong commercial pipeline and deliver revenue, profitability, customer retention, and growth targets.
Lead or support tenders, RFQs, pricing discussions, and commercial negotiations. Develop a deep understanding of customer supply chains to identify opportunities and create tailored solutions. Partner with customers on sustainable supply chain solutions, including green services. Collaborate with Customer Success and operational teams to improve performance, customer satisfaction, and overall account growth. Successfully work with cross-functional, multicultural teams to deliver integrated customer solutions.
We’re Looking For
5–10 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, logistics, supply chain, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience. Proven success with complex B2B sales, negotiations, tenders, and commercial contracting. Understanding of global supply chains and the ability to turn customer challenges into commercial opportunities. Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Data-driven and commercially minded, with experience managing pipelines, forecasts, KPIs, and financial performance.
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a complex, global environment. Willingness to travel as needed.
The starting salary range $150,000-$170,000, depending on experience.
