Are you always the person looking up resorts, comparing cruises, finding fun things to do, or helping friends figure out their next getaway?
You may be a great fit for our team.
The Gypsy Travel & Cruise is looking for friendly, motivated people who would like to learn how to help clients plan and coordinate memorable vacations.
No previous experience in the travel industry is required. Full training is provided.
What You'll DoYou'll work with clients to help turn their vacation ideas into actual plans.
Depending on the client, you may:
- Research destinations, resorts, cruises and vacation packages
- Compare options based on a client's interests and budget
- Coordinate hotels, cruises, activities, tours and other trip details
- Answer questions and communicate with clients throughout the planning process
- Keep track of reservations and important travel details
- Learn about destinations, suppliers and current vacation offers
- Build relationships with clients who return for future trips and refer friends and family
One client may be dreaming about an anniversary cruise. Another may want a family trip to Disney, a Caribbean resort, a European vacation or a quick weekend escape.
Every client is different - and that's part of what makes the work fun.
You Don't Need ExperienceWe're much more interested in finding the right personality than someone who already knows the industry.
You may be a good fit if you:
- Love researching vacations and destinations
- Are organized and pay attention to details
- Communicate comfortably by phone, text and email
- Are comfortable learning new technology
- Can manage your time and work independently
- Are willing to learn and participate in training
People with backgrounds in customer service, hospitality, administration, sales, education, healthcare, military-family life, event planning and other people-focused fields often bring skills that transfer well.
Training & SupportYou'll have access to beginner training as well as ongoing education and support as you learn.
Training includes working with booking systems, vacation suppliers, cruises, resorts, destinations, client communication and building your own client base.
You'll also have access to mentorship, supplier education, marketing resources and industry tools.
Work From Home & Create Your Own ScheduleThis is a remote,
independent contractor opportunity that allows you to create a schedule that works around your life.
It is not a traditional hourly or salaried position.
Compensation is commission-based and earned from completed client bookings. Income varies based on individual sales and booking activity, and there is no guaranteed hourly or weekly wage.
Complete details about the opportunity, training, compensation structure and program requirements are provided during the informational process before you make any decision about moving forward.
Curious? You don't need to know everything about vacations.
You don't need years of experience.
And you definitely don't need to have every destination memorized.
You need to be willing to learn, comfortable working with people and motivated to build something of your own.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
