Account Manager; DIY​/FMCG; Remote

Position: Account Manager (DIY/FMCG) - Remote-Working
Location: Claverdon

Our client, a family-owned independent business whom are an international supplier of over 4,000 market-leading products into the automotive/DIY industries, are looking to recruit a well-connected, driven Account Manager to join their growing business. Working in a very autonomous capacity (working from home / meeting with clients), this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate! Our client have been established for over 40 years and their Chichester HQ caters for 45 FTE.

They boast an incredible foothold in the Automotive aftersales market, however are looking to really develop/strengthen their presence within wider FMCG (Grocery/DIY). In order to do so, they have created a brand new role to develop business in this area - in a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:

- Generating new business wins within major Grocery/DIY Retailers
- Utilising existing business relationships to diversify spend/grow accounts
- Working to new business sales targets across the Grocery/DIY market(s) - Owning P&L/budgets/forecasting for the department
- Owning the entire sales cycle from start to finish (initial outreach through to close) - Once new clients have been onboarded, providing ongoing account management to ensure account growth
- Conducting regular business reviews to identify pain points/diversify spend In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:

- Experience of developing new business within the Grocery/DIY market(s) - Proven track record of exceeding sales/revenue targets
- Genuine contact list/network of clients (Buyers) within target market (Grocery/DIY/FMCG) - Motivation to earn fantastic money in commission
- Ability to work on own initiative/autonomously
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) - Full, clean UK driving licence
- Fun, sociable personality Although prior people management experience is not essential, any candidates with this exposure, or the ability to lead others in the future, are greatly encouraged to apply - there is the expectation that you will scale an operation around you, and lead on this! In addition to a very competitive basic salary of up to £60,000, our client are also offering the following:

- Uncapped commission structure (quarterly commission - expected Year One OTE: £100,000 / expected Year Three OTE: £150,000) - Full autonomy on working life (100% remote contract - in-person sales meetings every half-year (you can absolutely work from the office if local and preferred, however!) - International travel (you will be flown to the US for product launches / learn from the more established US team - once/twice a year) - Incredible progression opportunities (ultimately, you will be in charge of the P&L and can scale a team underneath you (making your job even bigger!))
