Join a team of industry veterans at this exciting early-stage start-up excitement as we create something that will change the way insurance connects with multiple industries.
Build your own pipeline, earn your place in the automotive world, and close franchise dealerships on Check My Driver. Sell directly into sales and service departments and replace manual insurance checks with live, carrier-connected verification.
Location: Charlotte, NC (remote position)
Company: Modives
Brand Focus: Check My Driver
Position Type: Full-Time
Travel: Occasional: industry conferences, trade shows, and semi-local customer visits as needed
About Modives:Modives is the company behind Check My Driver , a full-service insurance and identity verification, monitoring, and remediation platform for automotive dealers, lenders, and fleet operators. In one step on the customer’s phone, Check My Driver confirms who the person is and confirms the policy with the carrier: active, accurate, and adequate, right now.
Most dealerships think they verify insurance. They validate it. The card looks current and the name matches, but nobody asked the carrier. Validated is not verified. That gap is where uninsured vehicles leave the lot, where loaners go out without coverage, and where deals stall at the desk. We close it.
We are early-stage with a live product, paying dealers, and active platform partners. The people who join now will shape what we become.
The Role:We are hiring a proven seller who can find the deal, run it, and close it.
You have carried a quota and hit it. You may have sold software, F&I products, or services into dealerships as a vendor rep, or moved from the showroom or F&I office into B2B sales. Either way, you know who really decides, how month-end pressure shapes a conversation, and how to earn a Dealer Principal’s or GM’s attention in the first 30 seconds.
This is a self-sourced seat. You generate your own opportunities through outbound calls, referrals, and the relationships you build across the automotive ecosystem. You become a known name to the dealers, platform vendors, and partner teams who shape how dealerships buy technology. Then you sell Check My Driver directly into the sales and service departments of franchise stores and dealer groups.
Your mission: build a pipeline you trust, run sharp discovery and demos, make the business case, and close. We measure you on closed revenue, not dials.
Responsibilities:- Generate Your Own Pipeline: Make outbound calls, send email, and work Linked In and referral channels into franchise dealerships and dealer groups across the U.S. Build target account plans and work them with discipline.
- Sell Into Sales and Service: Engage Dealer Principals, General Managers, GSMs, F&I Directors, Fixed Ops and Service leaders, and loaner and rental coordinators. Get both the person who can say no and the person who lives the problem in the room.
- Build Authority in the Automotive World: Be visible and credible. Show up consistently on Linked In, in industry groups, and at conferences and trade shows. Make dealers and partners want to take your call.
- Work the Ecosystem: Build relationships with core automotive platform vendors, including dealer management, CRM, fleet, and loaner platforms, and with their integration and partner teams. Turn integrations and partnerships into introductions, joint opportunities, and credibility with dealers.
- Run Consultative Discovery: Learn how each store verifies identity and insurance today, where deals stall, where loaners leave without proof of coverage, and what uninsured exposure costs them.
- Deliver the Demo: Present Check My Driver yourself and tie it to the store’s own workflow, from first touch to F&I close or from service write-up to loaner release.
